A study on Different Approaches of Geomorphology

Geomorphology is defined as the physical features of the earth surface and their relation to its geological structures. The present paper deals with the different approaches of geomorphology in the field of earth science and its related geographical records. The river and landforms which are produced by the action of the flowing water gave the random approach the study of landforms and the hydrologic geometry of the rivers. The paper covers the review of the various tools and techniques used for the geomorphological studies as well as the learning of these concepts with the involvement of technique of aerial photography, geomorphological mapping etc. The analysis of the geomorphological studies is useful in various flood hazard assessment as well. It also contain the information of the different types of the geomorphology. The future endeavors which implement for the study of earth surfaces and its role in the ecological balance. Volcanic Eruption and its Impact

In many areas around the world volcanic explosions in ancient periods have carried damage and death to almost half a billion people volcanoes poses a threat present there are around 500 active volcanoes on Earth, and individual year and contain approximately 10 to 40 volcanic explosions. The volcanic eruption cause a dangerous effects on climate, environment including health of the unprotected person. The unfavorable effect of volcano depends upon the magma viscosity, distance from volcano and the concentration of gases. According to the data every year an average of 1000 people convert the victim of the volcanic eruption. In this people are not only destroyed by mudflows, pyroclastic flows and ash falls but also from food shortage after failures of crops for the reason that of volcanic explosions. This paper focuses on volcanic phenomena which provide the understanding of the specific health threats issues, connected with occurrence of volcano. Impact of Petrochemicals industries on the environment

Petrochemicals are the derivative of the petroleum refinery products. Other than the petroleum products, natural gas and crude oil derivatives are also considered as petrochemicals. Petroleum industries are the source of these compounds by the many process. Petrochemical industries play a vital role in the development of economy. In spite of this, they give an adverse impact on the environment and health of living being by emitting the toxic chemical compounds. These toxic compounds are generally Volatile Organic Compounds, greenhouse gases and particulate matter that are emitted in the environment and affect the environment in the form of water and soil pollution, air pollution, noise pollution and so on. According to World Health Organization (WHO), air and water pollution have been identified as the largest environmental and health risk. Both types chronic and acute of health diseases are occurred such as ulcer, allergy, cancer, and liver and kidney problems to the living beings. A Study of Groundwater Resources

Groundwater is a main source of fresh water globally. The demand of water is increasing every day because of population. It is understood that the consumption of water is much more compare to the availability of water. To determine the connection among groundwater consumption and accessibility of it in the 37 largest aquifer system of world, the ground water stress estimation is used. ‘Safe Yield’ concept is used to determine how much water can be pulled out from an aquifer structure. A fresh method is advised that provides a security border to the calculation of the manufacture capability of an aquifer. This new method is called as “managed yield” which replaced the safe yield for the developing management plans for groundwater system. A Study on Land Slides in India

This paper focuses on the landslide activity occur frequently in India. Landslides are considered as most important kinds of natural hazards during monsoon in the Himalayan mountainous region of India, the study states that the landslides occurred as result of natural and human related activities and that give effect on human and animal life, but only these reasons are not causes of landslide occurrence at that place which are very low suspected to landslide or not lie in landslide zones and another, in this paper we have discussed the study on land slides in India. We need to investigate the soil and to find out the changes in soil which leads landslide and extreme rainfall events. This paper provides an idea which may interrelate effectively with hazard control, because of the greater mechanical strength of lithosphere of earth compare the asthenosphere, Tectonic plates are able to move.
