Nanotechnology as a Diverse Field

by Sudhanshu Dwivedi

Currently, nanotechnology is one of the emerging field in research and development globally and has become the highly energized discipline. Nanotechnology is defined as phenomena and operation of material at nanoscale, from 0.1 nm to 100 nm, which is applied to different field such as physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, etc. Nanotechnology techniques are rapidly developing in the fields of medical imaging, targeted drug delivery, biosensors also. It is basically helping significantly to improve and even revolutionize, many technologies and industry sectors. It also involved in the creation and manipulation at nanometer scale, either by scaling up from single groups of atoms or by purifying bulk materials. In this paper an effort has been done to study the current development and future perspective of nanotechnology on the basis of the different secondary information available. The paper initiated with short description about what nanotechnology is and how it’s connected to other science, further describing about the view of different researchers on the application of nanotechnology in different discipline. Ethical and Social Implications of Nanotechnology

by Yogesh Badole

In this paper, we discussed the impact and fundamentals of nanotechnology and some potentials about its social significances, effects on environmental and health, and the ethical issues. The revolution is occurring in the society in which the custom is being renewed through the creation of material and products. Nanoparticles have high toxicity compare to the mass chemicals for the reason that of the increment in the surface to the ratio of volume as the molecules existing on the superficial layer are more by which the intrinsic toxicity enhances. Few articles discussed about the ethical value of nanotechnology in which it was implied that the nanotechnology’s ethical discussion require to start from the scratch. And for establishing the nanotechnology, the discussion have been made by many researcher in the field of ethics. It is claimed that an inspirational method to the nanotechnology’s ethics are supposed that a constrained number of simple ethics are frequently acknowledged. More than two million people would be engaged in nanotechnology industries and the people would have the supporting jobs. In spite of having many applications in nanotechnology, it has many ethical issues and threats in its operation. There is known that the nanoparticles are toxic in nature because the elements in the Nano-level behave differently compare to their role in bulk form. These nanoparticles are helpful to penetrate the blood brain obstruction. Hence, it is up to us, whether we use this new emerging technology as a bliss or curse. Nanoparticles: Their Synthesis, Biosynthesis and Types

by Anupriya Chandrasekar

The formation and application of materials which belongs to elements be present at the nanoscale and by resolution up to the size of 100 nm and hence referred as nanotechnology. Nanotechnology includes magnetic, electrical and optical activity with consideration to fundamental actions at the sub-molecular and molecular level. It contain the affinity to make revolution in a sequence of biotechnology and medical apparatus and processes, because of the reason that they are, cheaper, portable, easier and safer to manage. They are very beneficial for various determinations like medical handlings, used in numerous divisions of production of industry like oxide and solar fuel batteries for the purpose of storing the energy, in wide-ranging combination into various resources of day to day use like clothes, bactericidal and electronic, optical devices, catalytic, biological labelling, cosmetics, sensor technology, and dealing with certain cancers. It also concerned significant responsiveness in developing years in line for to their possessions for example, high resistance, and antibacterial activity to oxidation as well as in elevation thermal conductivity. It can be synthesized both chemically and biologically. This study presents discussion about the nanotechnology and nanoparticles along with their types and synthesis. Keywords: Optical Devices, Nanoparticles, Thermal Conductivity, Silver, Bactericidal

Role of Nanotechnology in Cancer Treatment

by Himeesh Madaan

The nanotechnology is the study and the use of arrangements between 1 nanometer and 100 nanometers. This technique is advanced and reformed technology for the present generation and more in use at various factors. Nanotechnology focuses on the coalescence and convergence of numerous scientific disciplines and other usual application of it. The present paper deals with the study of role of the nanotechnology in the cancer treatment where it is important to deliver the information regarding cancer and its occurrence in the body. The paper highlight on the Nano-particles that are rapidly developed and helpful in overcoming with various limitations of traditional drug delivery system and are helpful in dealing with different therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. This entire paper review on the ability of cell recognizing of Nano-particles by unique identifying characteristics and their changes from the anticancer therapies. The use of the recent development of the nanotechnology shows the transformation of the cancer therapeutics. Keywords: Nanotechnology, Convergence, Drug delivery System, Cancer therapeutics

Nanotechnology and its Military Applications

by Nabanita Phukan

The most emerging field in science and technology with a large number of ideas and application is Nano-science and Nanotechnology (NT). It is expected that nanotechnology brings revolutionary changes in many areas with great risks and benefits. In the field nanotechnology the research in defense and development expanding very rapidly. Many countries and states are taking a serious interest in the application of nanotechnology in the defense field. Nanotechnology holds many great promises. Nanotechnology will permit a new kind of weapons that will change the geopolitical setting leftovers to be realized. Numerous uncertain safety enigmas led to the occurrence of nanotechnology have conclusions for defense policy, arms control, international security, and in many other fields. For the social and economic gain, many programs were initiated globally. This paper examines the effect of Nanotechnology on defense by studying the global trends and the evolution of nanotechnology in India is also be discussed. The existing and forth-coming application of nanotechnology for military purposes, as well as other expected influence on arms control, is also discussed. Keywords: Nano-technology, Impacts, Future, Defense
