Mathematical Language: Its Issues in Learning Process

by Suraj Pratap Singh

It is well known to all that in sharing information and thoughts, language is a key component. Every subject has simple language. In these subject, language of mathematics is unique from other languages that can be understood by any one even high skilled person in mathematics field also faces difficulties to talk in mathematical language. The learning of mathematics in schools is very important for high skill and education and learning the language of mathematics is significant for the improvement of mathematical expertise. The problems also come in the teaching and learning of mathematics. There are many factors that affects the learning of mathematics such as vocabulary and use of prepositions. In mathematical language, the prepositions play a vital role for explaining the problems of mathematics. This article represents the relation between mathematics and language and the problems in learning the language of mathematics which have different categories. It also explain the role of culture in the understanding the concepts, terms and ideas of mathematics. Keywords: Prepositions, Culture, Vocabulary

Multiplication Techniques used in Vedic Mathematics

by Virendra Sharma

Indian mathematics has an ancient technologies that is ‘Vedic mathematics’ which as an exclusive system of calculations which depends on simple principles and rules which have 16 Formulae (Sutras). This paper discusses about A high speed complex multiplier design (ASIC) that is Vedic Mathematics. From earliest Indian mathematics “Vedas”, adopted the knowledge for planning adder subtractor and multiplier unit. In which, multiplication is a significant factor in mathematics action which is used in number of Digital Signal Processing applications. For execution, the phenomenon of multiplication takes more time, so there is a need of quick multiplier for saving performance time. This paper, discuss about the multiplication using Earliest Indian Vedic Mathematics procedures. In techniques, describes the Urdhva Tiryakbhyam, Nikhilam Sutra, and Karatsuba-of man and technique is obtained from performance analysis due to which solving a whole range mathematical problems by its high speed. It also discuss about the convolution that is an official mathematical process, just as addition, multiplication and integration. Research Methodology for Mathematical Studies

by Sanjay Purohit

The methodology of action research is found to be a valuable and a problem-solving tool that can offers opportunities for the improvement, transformation, and reflection of teaching. The area is new in mathematics education research and then the approaches of qualitative research are applied that requires special attention to improve the credibility and the trustworthiness of this approach. It is considered as necessary to be aware of the restrictions or the limitations that are associated with these methods. The interview approach in the research literature is the qualitative methods which are a tool for data gathering. The challenges which are facing by the researchers are based on the reliability, validity, and generability. This paper traces the growth and the changes in mathematics education research. The interdependence with research along with the focusing on the research perspectives, the methods, the approaches of philosophy, empirical and disciplinary. Keywords: action research methodology, mathematics education research, qualitative research

Mathematical Disability: Dyscalculia & Developmental Dyscalculia

by Arvind Dwivedi

In present time, world needs us to procedure extraordinary altitudes of mathematical information. Smartphones, computers healthcare and financial data dealing out are just a few of the numerous modern hassles demanding our mathematical smoothness. It is important, for continuous growth of actual quantifiable mathematical and learning methods, that we should recognize the causes of relative incapacitating and extensive mathematical and measured deficiencies. Dyscalculia eventually arises from Developmental Dyscalculia and it can be for of a wide range of causes, from underprivileged type of teaching, to behavioral devotion problems, to low socio-economic status. Though, a subdivision of the kids having problems with mathematics, probably considering very serious lacks, appears to undergo from a growing condition that encounters the skill to procedure of simple mathematical amount of information. Several essentials like informative knowledge, IQ and other, incentive and reasoning aptitudes may deteriorate or test the development of mathematical ability abilities, one chief probability weakness is a growing disorder of learning that is precise to proficiency. The term Developmental Dyscalculia (DD) is considered as a disorder of learning that definitely alter the competence to reach the arithmetic skills related to school-level. The resulting article will summarize the existing condition of knowledge concerning DD, depict from a variability of experimental studies. In order to cover its awareness importance, things that has been outlined are behavioral characteristic, causes, difficulties, and focused the status of individual among primary and secondary DD in upcoming research connecting with the Dyscalculia. Keywords: Dyscalculia, Mathematics, Struggle, Problem, Developmental Dyscalculia.

A study on Vedic Mathematics: An Ancient Method

by Virendra Sharma

Vedic Mathematics concerned with the Veda which deliver superfast solution of any problem related with mathematics. The present paper cover the concept of mathematics with the ancient method of Vedas and its relevant consideration. It consider all the sixteen sutras and their related sub sutras or Corollaries which tend in revealing the mathematics problem in easier and fast manner. The paper also detailed about the multiplication and division methods which is one of the most critical arithmetic operations approved with any digital logic algorithm i.e. digital signal processing. The discussion of the methodology with stepwise procedure of connected sutras with the both multiplication and division method give a lot informative and contain numerous application in the mathematical issues. Through this paper one can get the immense knowledge of Vedic mathematics and its reviewed data and the use of Vedic sutras dependent on algorithm conclusively provide the simple architecture and high-efficiency power. Keywords: Vedic Mathematics, Sutras, Vedas, Algorithm, Digital signal processing, Simple Architecture
